Both DSE, CSE up at opening

Pns: Share price index at the country's both bourses -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- witnessed positive trend as market opened on Thursday, the last trading day of the week.



After first one hour of trading, DSEX, the prime index of the DSE, went up by 3.03 points while CSCX, Selective Category Index of the port city's bourse, gained 27.58 points.



The DSE benchmark index, DSEX gained 3.03 points or 0.05 percent to reach 5,827.46 at about 11:29 am.



Of the issues traded till then, 126 gained, 104 declined and 63 remained unchanged.



The turnover stands at Tk 2,015.86 million on the DSE, riding on Mercantile Bank and LankaBangla Finance at 11:33 am.



Mercantile Bank Limited dominated the turnover chart with shares worth Tk 154.47 million changing hands till then.



The CSE key index, CSCX gained 27.58 points to stand at 10,933.07, also at about 11:30 am today.



Of the issues traded till then, 68 gained, 57 declined and 38 remained unchanged.
